What exactly is a nutrition coach and why do I need one?
The information highway has so much information on health, weight loss and nutrition that it is overwhelming. Should you try fad A or B? Keto or Juicing? The choices go on forever. At the end of the day, all we really want is for someone to be honest with us and to tell us what to do, how to do it and what kind of results we can truly expect.
If I am your nutrition coach, this is what you will receive.
Our initial session will be 1-on-1 time where I get to know you, your health history, your successes and your challenges. Once we discuss where you’ve been we’ll discuss where you want to go and then together come up with a plan to fit your life and needs. No plan is the same because you are unique.
I working teaching individuals how to lose weight in Obesity research for the National Institutes for Health (NIH) for over a decade. I promise that I will bring you information that is current, backed by science and most importantly sustainable for you. This is not a diet (that’s a 4-letter word in my book). This is a lifestyle change….that is permanent.
What can I expect?
You can expect a 30-minute session each week after our initial 1 hour consult. I will provide a handout on a topic that ranges from understanding the foundational basics to higher-level behavior strategies including but not limited to: stress management, mindful eating, sleep, food triggers, & emotional eating.
Could you grab some health information from a trainer or even online, sure you could, but chances are the focus and motivation would be lacking. With HealthyNatalie, this is her passion.
